You know that saying, “The devil’s in the details”? Well, sometimes that’s just what your home needs…details. Those perfect little accessories to jazz up a corner, add some warmth to a tabletop, or breathe life into a windowsill. And let me tell you, (no surprise) Erin has a knack for knickknacks…elegant ones that is. In this post, we’ll take a little tour around some areas in her home where she found special décor pieces for those places that can be difficult to style. If you’re looking to make some décor updates in your home OR you have that awkward spot that’s been empty for far too long, keep scrolling for some inspiration!
In case you missed it, we also took a deep dive into Erin’s gorgeous office and closet, (where all the magic happens!) here.
Decorative Home Accessories
Tabletop Styling
Coffee Table Décor
One of those areas that always seems to be tricky is your coffee table. While there needs to be room for the basics like the TV remote, um…a cup of coffee, and maybe a few pairs of bare feet (#boymom), you also want your coffee table to look elegant. Erin has beautiful coasters, a vase, candle, potted plant and books too. And notice how she spaces everything out to make full use of the tabletop’s surface? Her The Ultimate Ski Book and West: The American Cowboy coffee table books, family photo book, and gorgeous honeycomb coasters add that personal touch that let you know you’re in the Busbee house. The coffee table décor fills the space without overcrowding or cluttering it. Erin has mentioned before how she loves to create photo books of family travels. It’s so easy to do…and also makes a great, personal gift!

Dining Table Décor
On her dining table, Erin keeps it minimal and elegant with a brass bowl and Jonathan Adler candle holders. The metal and brass are a perfect contrast to the wooden table.
Filling Up Corners
Floor Décor
Every house seems to have that little space or corner that needs “something”. A floor vase with tall greenery is a great option for warming up and filling up that spot. Greenery can be tricky…you don’t want anything too plastic or artificial-looking. And no weird, unnatural shades of green! This one has several branches and looks real! It’s the same one Erin used to fill this large, textured ceramic vase. You can mold, fluff, and twist the branches to fit your vase.
Windowsill
Erin’s home is very modern with black trimmed windows, and stone and gold accents. She added this trio of vases and greenery around her windowsill to bring some of that outdoor nature look indoors. The long narrow silver tray makes a perfect statement left empty, but you could also fill it with apples, lemons, hand and dish soap or keep your jewelry safe while washing dishes. It’s such a chic piece!
